2015 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix

The 2015 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix was the fifteenth round of the 2015 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It was held at the Twin Ring Motegi in Motegi on 11 October 2015.
In the premier class, the race was begin in wet track conditions. However, the race were completed in relatively dry track conditions during halfway through the race and the final laps. Jorge Lorenzo had started on pole but faded to third with tyre issues. It was Dani Pedrosa achieved his first victory of the season since the 2014 Czech Republic Grand Prix — his 50th Grand Prix win in his career, becoming the eighth rider to reach that mark. The victory ensured that Pedrosa completed a fourteenth successive season with at least one win. Valentino Rossi extended his championship lead to eighteen with a second-place finish in drying conditions.
Alex de Angelis crashed heavily during the MotoGP fourth free practice session on Saturday and was taken to a hospital in a critical but stable condition. The session was eventually red flagged.
In the intermediate class, Johann Zarco took his seventh victories of the season. The victory ensured that Zarco clinch his first world championship title with three race to spare; his rival Tito Rabat withdraw from the race during his injured while free practice session. Behind Zarco, was two German riders — Jonas Folger took his third podium of the season with second place since Jerez, and Sandro Cortese took his first podium with third-place finish since the 2014 Czech Republic Grand Prix.
